Been discharged from MRI, they sent me home with antibiotics but no pain relief and because I have a fractured pelvis I couldnt travel in to Manchester Im my state so I phone the GPs they told me to go online and fill in my details and my reason for an appointment, stating I desperate for pain relief because I am really struggling with just cocodamol, waited all day its now half 4 and worried the pharmacy are going to shut by the time a doctor gets back to me so called the surgery again and palmed me off saying a doctor will contact me. Its getting ridiculous, I am desperate for pain relief. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and they are useless. Very upset.

Really poor. Rarely have any available appointments within 2 weeks irrespective of how ill you are.
T1 diabetic and new to the area, needed testing strips but as I was new had to see Dr first, had to wait over a week, should've been 2 weeks, but not enough supplies for that long. Gave GP my exact prescription needs, she prescribed wrong blood testing strips, but didn't realise, it was a Friday and chemist wouldn't have them in until Monday, collected only to find wrong ones and now without any means to test blood sugars.
I had a brilliant experience with Thornbrook surgery. I just called as I have an infection and I was told by the secretary that I would receive a call by the practitioner nurse. In about 5 minutes I received a call and was asked if I could be seen within the next 40 minutes. Unfortunately I was unable to do so as I was in work and was then asked about booking time the following day or was advised about the closest out of hours to visit and who I should speak to. Brilliant service and very caring. Well done.
